Traffic & Safety
Making neighborhood streets safer with traffic calming measures in over 13 locations throughout Wards 9 and 10. Speed humps installed on busy roads including Fernforest Drive, Black Forest Drive, Sunny Meadow Blvd, Mountainberry Rd, and Father Tobin Road to protect pedestrians and slow down traffic.
A new traffic signal at Countryside Drive and Yellow Avens Blvd/Raymond Johnson Dr helps manage busy intersections. These safety improvements directly respond to resident concerns and create safer streets for families, children walking to school, and drivers in our community.

Safer Streets for Everyone
Implementing comprehensive traffic safety measures based on resident feedback and traffic studies. Each project addresses specific concerns about speeding and pedestrian safety in residential areas.
- Speed humps installed on 13 residential streets including Father Tobin Road, Sunny Meadow Blvd, and Braydon Blvd.
- New traffic signal at Countryside Drive and Yellow Avens Blvd/Raymond Johnson Dr to improve intersection safety.
- 20-minute truck stop created on Ace Dr between Docksteader Rd and Mayfield Rd.
These targeted improvements help calm traffic in residential areas, protect vulnerable road users, and create a safer transportation network for everyone.
