We’re delivering on Brampton’s transit future with over $100 million in federal funding secured
for the Queen Street Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). We’re also building Canada’s largest electric bus
facility right here in our city, creating good local jobs and leading the way in clean, sustainable
transportation.
The Hazel McCallion LRT, spanning 18 km along the Hurontario corridor, will enhance regional connectivity, with 19 stops, including Brampton Gateway Terminal and Port Credit GO Station in Mississauga.

Creating Green Spaces for Everyone
We’ve taken Brampton’s transit priorities to the highest levels of government, securing critical
funding and support. These investments are expanding service, reducing emissions, and
preparing Brampton for long-term growth.
Progress since 2018:
- 151,477 transit service hours added, an increase of 38%
- 153 transit shelters in place by 2025, up from just 59 pre-2018
- 456 total stops citywide, up from 411
Our continued focus on electrification and infrastructure will help reduce congestion, connect
communities, and position Brampton as a leader in smart, sustainable transportation.
